DRUG AND FOOD CONTROL AUTHORITY ACT OF SOUTH SUDAN, 2012

1. Title And Commencement This Act shall be cited as “Drug and Food Control Authority Act, 2012” and shall come into force on the date of its signature by the President. 2. Repeal And Saving Any provisions of the existing legislation which are governed by this Act are hereby repealed; provided that, all proceedings, orders and regulations taken or made thereunder, except to the extent they are cancelled by or are otherwise inconsistent with provisions of this Act shall remain in full force and effect, until they are repealed or amended in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY ACT OF SOUTH SUDAN, 2012

1. Title And Commencement This Act shall be cited as “The Civil Aviation Authority Act, 2012” and shall come into force on the date of its signature by the President. 2. Repeal And Saving Any provisions of existing legislation in South Sudan which are governed by this Act are hereby repealed or cease to operate in South Sudan; provided that all proceedings, orders and regulations taken or made there under, except to the extent they are revoked by or are otherwise inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, shall remain in force or effect until they are repealed or amended in accordance with provisions of this Act. 3. Purpose The purpose of this Act is to provide a regulatory framework for a Civil Aviation Authority in South Sudan and to establish an autonomous institution to supervise, promote, develop and regulate the Civil Aviation industry and to provide a system for assuring aviation safety and security of aerodromes and airstrips and compliance with aviation standards and international best practices.

ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING AND COUNTER TERRORIST FINANCING ACT OF SOUTH SUDAN, 2012

1. Title And Commencement This Act shall be cited as “The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Act, 2012” and shall come into force on the date of its signature by the President. 2. Repeal And Saving Any existing legislation governing the subject of this Act is hereby repealed; provided that any orders issued or regulations made thereunder, except to the extent they are cancelled by or are otherwise inconsistent with provisions of this Act shall continue in force and effect until repealed or amended by this Act.

PETROLEUM ACT OF SOUTH SUDAN, 2012

1. Title and Commencement This Act shall be cited as “The Petroleum Act, 2012” and shall come into force on the date of its signature by the President. 2. Repeal and Saving 1. Any provision of existing legislation, the subject matter of which is governed by this Act is hereby repealed to the extent that it conflicts with any provision of this Act. 2. The same principle set out in subsection (1) of this Section, with such modifications as the circumstances require, shall apply to existing proceedings, orders and regulations.
